Upon touching the Rock of Translation, the experience for all members of my party (not just the one who touched the stone) reset from around 25 million to exactly 16,777,216, which is 2 to the 24th power. It is a solid bug, and no amount of saving and restarting seems to affect it.I have seen this value before (in TCC Part 1), and asked about it in an earlier post. However, then I did not notice it being associated with any particular event. In any case, I was able to continue adding experience, so it was not a problem.
It is obviously related to a 4-byte value somewhere in the program. The levels of the party were not changed. I am somewhat at a loss as to what to do, since the purpose of the various maps in Part 2 seems to be to build level for the final (?) battles. But with nowhere to train (and thus lock in the experience) and no gold to pay for it anyway, ...
For now, I can continue clearing maps and not touch the stone. But sooner or later I'll probably have to do so, and then lose all of that experience. Any advice would be appreciated.
