I wasn't too keen on bows of carnage as it seemed to me they always damaged the party more than the enemy. Once I found out how to use them properly, however, they can be pretty awesome. In TCC especially, with the hordes of monsters that come after you, they can cause major slaughter. That Brennan's Bow coupled with the Bow of Carnage in Wrenford's Retreat and the extra Axe of Lugh ain't bad either. The Hammer of the God's is better than Baal's Mace for sure also. The Light Sword (because of it's downside) is pretty useless, IMO.However, for a melee oriented team like I play, once you get the Ice weapons of the Gods from the Fortress of the Ancients, all of the above is meaningless anyway since those Ice weapons are the best in the game (outside of the Ether Weapons, that is).
