Enroth Winter Olympics?

While being absorbed by the doings in Vancouver, it occurred to me that The Frozen Highlands would be a great venue for the Winter Games. (That is, if some sports-hating idiot doesn't aid Lord Von Stromgard in his quest to do away with the snow! Hmmm. Ya don't suppose the effects got all the way to Canada during the aerial skiing?!)

Knights or Archers would of course trade in their swords/bows for blaster rifles, and would thus excel at biathlon.

Air Mages with flight capability should do well at aerials or snowboarding, especially if they could caste Haste.

Nordic skiing is probably best left to Knights, unless a Mage cast another Haste spell. (Would the IOC permit this, I wonder?) Alpine skiing, combining strength, dexterity (moguls, slalom,) and speed could be done by a strong, dexterous character who could cast Flight and/or Haste.

Any type of skating events would again require strength, speed, and dexterity.

Clerics sitting on the sidelines cheering on anyone in their party could cast the requisite Healing Touch, Bless, and Lucky Day spells to insure victory.

All in all, should make for an interesting Olympics.

Now, about those Summer Games. . . .
