I know it is doable - I remember moving the characters in EOB2 so that I had the NPC Calandra in the front row - but I can't remember how. It may be that you need a vacant space, but I don't think so. It's a DOS game, so ordinary drag and drop is unlikely to work, although I suppose it's worth trying.I always started a party in EOB1 and imported it into EOB2 and then EOB3. There are some gorgeous weapons in EOB1. There are:
a +5 longsword called Severious,
a +4 longsword called Slasher, and
a +3 longsword called Nightstalker,
and if you find and complete the special quests (one per level) you will also find among other goodies:
a +5 halberd called Chieftain, and
a collection of +5 adamantite darts.
