    To my knowledge, the character portraits are tucked away in the Icons.lod. I once harbored ambitions of drawing up new sets up portraits for MMVI, but I couldn't get my finicky MM file editor to replace the graphics files in the .lod. I'd love to know if anyone else has had success with this.
