It seems many people are having luck by switching from their integrated graphics card to their dedicated one. Problem I'm having is, even after specifically instructing in my Nvidia Panel for lithexe to run on my dedicated card, it still is running off integrated everytime I start the game. Any suggestions??
Try telling your NVidia to run mm9.exe as well as lithtech.exe.... 11/19/2016, 00:21:14

I don't expect that to work, but it's the simplest thing to try first.
Do your integrated graphics have a control panel? I suspect you'll need to turn it off from there. Otherwise, you'll need to disable it completely from the BIOS.
No luck. I even disabled the integrated card, at which point the game wouldn't even start. Just sucks. I've been trying to fix this problem for almost 3 years now, 3 different laptops, and I simply cannot get the graphics to not go black underwater or at night. I've gotten dozens and dozens of old games to run over that time, and all of them had a solution somewhere. Might and Magic IX is the lone holdout. Completely at a loss.
Is there any idea what might be missing or causing this?? 11/21/2016, 19:16:14

For some it seems to work, it seems to work universally on anything Windows 7 or older, the problem seems to have only arrived with Windows 8 and later. It seems unlikely that it isn't fixable in SOME way.
