Promotion to Mage

After slogging my way through the Verhoffin's Ruins and returning to Johannes, thence to Drangheim, back to Johannes who says I am promoted, I find that my Awards page says "Promoted to Mage" but the Party Summary and the individual page still say "Scholar". Teachers still say "Must be propted to become Master"

    Is there anything I can do, short of starting over or going back to a very old save game?

I assume you didn't save your position before going for the promo?

    Somewhere in the history of this MM9 Tavern are the instructions on how to do this. I now they're there, but I haven't a clue who posted them. Bones and Klar are good people to start with, though, and if you fail to find them, call for help from Bones.
