Can't pick skills for characters

    Tell us what operating system you're using. There might be an issue with compatibility mode.

    And what video card and driver version are you using? You might need to use an earlier set of drivers.

You see, I have original CD of the game , besides this GOG one, and on that one, character selection works, BUT, it doesn't work when I try to ship somewhere else, or sometimes when I even start game, it's totally black.

The GOG version is slightly different than the original....

    Bones writes:

    Ubisoft changed a few files when they bought the game from NWC. I think a few of the files in ART.rez were modified to reflect their ownership, but (more importantly) they also used an earlier version of one of the files (an EXE or DLL, I forget which) than the one NWC released.

    But Ubi was never interested in the M&M RPGs, so they sold the marketing rights to GOG.

    The result is that the 1.3 patch won't install properly on the Ubi version. That might be the source of your problem.

    You see, I don't have installed ubisoft version. I uninstalled it, and then intalled GOG version. I never patched anything, but when I enter game there is number 1.3 . So, I guess it's patched default. I did nothing but installing GOG version.

Moving thru characters in MM9

    I'm running on Windows 10. BTW: Switching from screen to screen is sloooooooooooow for me.
