It certainly appeared in MM3, and we worked out what it did there.

However when one of your characters not carrying the Fizbin tried to take it, he died instantly. With the Fizbin, the treasure could be taken, no problem.

    The one bad thing that I specifically remember, was that you could use things called "Quatloo coins" in a particular room in Slithercult Stronghold to boost your stats. They worked fine - as long as the character was not carrying a Fizbin. I can't remember now exactly what happened, but it wasn't good!

    There were other things, but it has been so long ago since I played the game that I cannot remember them, and I won't have access until I get some things in my setup sorted out.

Fizbin and Quatloo coins?

    For anyone who never watched Star Trek: These to items (Fizbin and Quatloo) were part of an episode where Kirk was enslaved and had to wear a slave collar; he was placed into a sort of reality TV show and the enemy bet on what he would do. Fizbin was a game he made up on the spot to confuse the enemy, and Quatloo coins were the currency the enemy used to bet on his actions. I have forgotten how he escaped (someone remind me; it might be important for what Fizbin does in MM9).

I was never a trekkie, but yes, there are StarTrek references in most if not all of the MM games I've played.
