war council - neverending video ( story )

    My problem is that Yrsa the troll ( or what the heck is her name ) don't popup to give me this quest. First time I did 'stop war' quests by town portaling between strumford, drangheim and thronhaim, then I tried it only by boat travel to no use.

    I have tried rude.rez file with stuffed dragon, with no help. I also don't think this may be 'slow computer and large video' coz I have P4 3.2Ghz, 1.5G ram.

    I also tried to remove minisaves of thronhaim and thronhaim city again to no use. ( well, I removed them during game, but when I was not in that area, I suppose that counts ;-)

    I tried to play to war council from last two saves ( each about 5 hrs of gameplay older, one before chasm of dead and other even older ) to no use.

    When I wrote the Bikki fix, I made it so that it would only work if you had already stopped the Drang/Sturm war. If it doesn't work, you probably have not finished this quest. For a quick check, if Forrad Darre is still in your party, you aren't ready for the next phase.

    To end the war, visit each jarl to talk treaty, visit Kira to write treaty, wait a while inside Thronheim until Kira gives you the treaty, visit each jarl again to present the treaty, return to Kira where they'll sign the treaty and Forrad will leave your party. Then, Ysra will appear.

    Again, if all this is done, contact me and I'll fix you up.

stuffed dragon after treaty signing ?

Yep, I stopped war between strumford and drangheim, they were going to sign their treaty ( so I don't really finished quest but nearly ;-), when I go to thronheim and go to treaty signing ( that one where Kira kills Marquel ), video freeze ( Marqel rise from ground and look at Kira )

    I probably was one of those lucky as I played MM9 about 5-6 times ( but some time ago and on my older computer... and also with sound effects which I can't get to work now ) and allways finished it without any game-killing problems. then I downloaded TELPs 1.3 patch and this happened to me.

    Anyway I don't know how much work You will have with editing my savegame and I don't really need to continue it. I just wanted some hint what to do or what not to do to avoid this problem. I can restart over it really doesn't matter to me.

OK, If the video freezes

    That is generally a memory problem where the video is too large for your video card memory. Or, your video driver may not be the best one to run MM9 which may be why your sound effects aren't working.

    What I'll do if you send it to me is watch the video, get the Bikki quest and send it back.

    If the video will not run, you won't have success with a restarted game. It'll freeze again when you get here.

the problem is playing older games on newer systems.

    went through this when windows 95 came out. many of my older games wouldn't run. had to boot into dos to play them.

    if you like the older games and get a newer system, keep the old system. oh, there are tricks to get most of the older games to run on newers systems but it takes a certain level of geekness to do it.
