The game has two engines. The game engine is mm9.exe. The graphics engine is lithtech.exe. Try changing the compatibility modes on both of them -- presumably to the same values. I'd think any of the WinXP selections would be acceptable. It's also possible that a theme or widget on your desktop is the cause of the problem. Disable those if the compatibility mode switches don't fix it. |
