Every time I load up Might and Magic 9, I get this really irritating error where the loading screen remains in place. So I go strolling through the rather large amount of threads and I download the various patches. I try the game without any patches, no go. I try the game with just the 1.0->1.2 patch, problem persists. I try the game patched with the 1.3a patch, nothing. I even download that cshell thing and try that, still disappointment. Alt-tabbing does work but that reduces me to bashing the keyboard in less than 15 minutes. My version of MM9.exe is dated 2/25/2002 2:30 PM, and is 1,412 KB. I am running Windows 7. I have also set mm9 to compatibility mode for WindowsXP Service Pack 2. If I can get some guidance here, this would be extremely helpful. Thank you!
