Errr - no worry. Just realised the dagger for promotion is above the fireplace, not the one in the Black Chest. Haven't turned game back on yet but assume this will be it.

Also, any idea if you NEED to enter through the upstairs window to complete the quest, or can you just waltz in through the front door?
