I got the Book of Rules out of the Academy by just letting the guards beat up on me while I solved the puzzle and lifted the book. However, now I have a continuous red light in the town area of Lindisfarne. The boat does not leave today, and I have no way to rest (and can't cast Town Portal). I also suspect this may mess up the later quest at the monestary? (I've already gotten Thjorad and the new priest, and completed the Paladin quest). Stealing Thjorad did not cause this; I rang the bells and no one knew who took it. Usually I kill the guards in the entrance to the Academy and no one bothers me thereafter, but this time I let them live because I'm trying the minimum kill game. Any ideas on how to get rid of the red light?
