The 'objects' in each 'level' have 'properties'. There's a particular property -- I forget which one -- which if is set to 'true' in more than one object results in the infinite hourglass. Apparently one of the engines -- ie, game or graphics -- can only handle one at a time in TB mode.

Something in the re-animation precess triggers it too. It might be that the re-animation sequence temporarily sets this property as well, in which case killing one skeleton at a time might avoid the problem.
