..I'd have to say that 3DO was always very generous in their encouragement of the fan community. They wrote their EULAs to allow broad 'fair use'. They seemed to be happy as long as you acknowledged what was theirs. I don't know about UbiSoft's approach. I don't know their track record with other communities. And I don't know if it would matter whether someone modded a 3DO or Ubi install. |
