| It seems to be caused by large numbers of creatures taking their turns and trying to get to you especially skeletons who want a second shot after you've killed them once. Save often and reload when the game gets goofy. The reload will put all the bad guys back to sleep until they spot you again. If you're just starting the game, you've got no business in Verhoffen. Come back later around level 15 or so. |
