...my first suspect would be onboard sound -- ie, using a sound card that's built into your motherboard. The drivers for these are always suspect. If you're not using onboard sound then you should make sure that you're using the most up-to-date drivers for your sound card. Also, turn off all extra features like 3D effects and all but basic acceleration. Please let us know what you learn. |
