The Mage Lab is not too far from where you exit the connectine tunnel. If you follow the shoreline east after you exit the tunnuel, you'll see it. Tou'll have to fight a whole bunch of ghosts and two Evil Sorcerers on your way there. The Lich Lab is located very near the twon of Yorwick (slightly to the south and west). Just follow the mountains around aftr you leave Yorwick and you'll find it. It's guarded by a bunch of vampires. Hope this helps, it's been a while since I played MM9, so this is from (a not so good) memory.
