There is a room with two (or three guards. After killing the guards. Look around and you will see a bookcase attached to the wall.

Close inspection of that bookcase will reveal a book sticking slightly out of the rack. clicking on this "book switch" will cause the bookcase tio revolve.

Inside the room beyond the bookcase there is a pedestal on which erests the "Book of Rules".

NOTE: Be careful you get the right pedestal since there is another one in the Academy which has a trap door in front of it.

Reverse the bookcase process to exit the room.
