since you have written close I was going to write today. Anyway, I did exactly the same re MM9 back then. However after having played it now for a few days. I have arrived to the conclusion that this is not a bad game - far from it. I think that it was possible for me to arrive to this conclusion because it was sooo long since I played the old games. Further more, I donīt regard this (now) as a "pure" MM game at all, instead I see it as a beginning of something totally new -with a few tidbits thrown in for old times sake-. So everything lightened up for me re this game, and suddenly it became rather enjoyable. Even though it is a bit rough around the edges, i.e. have an unfinished feeling and naturally a couple of bugs too... Oh well, I will end this rant with 1)a formal Thank You to the patchmakers, and 2) with the cry, more MM to us, the rpg-player-people  !
