But I'm pretty sure that you have to kill him in a particular way to progress in the game. And the kids are indeed a menace. As I understand it, they were supposed to follow their rescuers back to Frosgard, but this was another part of the game that never got finished properly, so all you can do is release them. You get the credit for doing that. But to kill Yanmir in the right way, you need to investigate the underpinning of the fort.
