I.e. if you put yourself in your your team and have a lil` discussion with the charatcters, what do you think would be the conclusion? Would you attack and murder decent men merely doing their job, or would you consider them evil men deserving of death? They are not that nice to some of the prisoners, you know! You could also decide to treat them and yourselves as soldiers and go for an open attack. Or avoid conflict for a while taking the pass. Then again you could also use the other entrance to omit the whole moral discussion. To answer your question; Your decision will not affect game progress.
