since 'over the shoulder' / birds-eye view just reminds me so much of the original Gauntlet arcade machines..... and there are so many first-person shooters that aren't RPGs.... you can fall into the trap of M&M games turning into first-person shooters if you rely on arrows/ranged attacks, and the 'draw them out 2-3 at a time' approach to groups of monsters. |
