but it does work well in my game (also version 1.3). Just get the quest and don't forget to choose which character should be promoted to crusader! Then kill all bandits (which will be acknowledged by sound), pick up all 3 objects (dolly, plow and pack of herbs) and give them back to villagers (again 3 times winning sound). If you check your quest list now the quest will be described as "return to Keith", so do it. All chosen (at the beginning) characters will be promoted to crusaders. Done:-)
