Playing through MM9 right now. I'm trying to perform the 'ring the bells' quest to steal the hammer. However, I can't seem to get the bell sequence to work. I've checked against the walkthrough, and I am doing the right sequence, but nothing happens. Is this happening because I'm also in the middle of the priest promotion quest? Will it work when I complete that? Alternatively, if it doesn't work, can I just kill the monks (after completing the priest promotion) or will that hurt other quests? (I thought I read something about it affecting a dragon quest). Or perhaps, is there a certain rhythm needed when ringing the bells? Like waiting for one to completely finish ringing. I am patched up, including the unofficial TELP 1.3 patch. Any help is appreciated. -mrP
