Once you get your techniques sorted out, there are so many combat methods you can use. There was one FPS I enjoyed, and that was Hexen, but the others I tried (e.g. Half-Life) got very boring. And even Hexen I only played twice. I've lost count of the number of times I've played MM3, and the number of times I've played MM6 must now be in double figures.
