| Scholars cannot become Expert in cudgel, they need to be promoted to either mage or lich before they can do that. I rate lich a better choice because (i) you cannot get the experience for the lich promo quest without actually promoting a character to that rank, and (ii) a lich can Master thrown weapons, whereas a mage can only become Expert. (Bow is a poor choice for either of these characters because neither one can ever get above Normal skill.) |
