After ~2 months, I've managed to find a video card that works with my computer and MM IX. I have successfully installed MM IX onto my Win98SE machine, created a party, and wandered around the training area.

After that, I tried to install the V1.3a patch, but it is still not installing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MM IX. After that, the patch updated the ART.REZ and SCRIPTS.REZ files, but when it starts trying to process the WORLDS.REZ file, my computer locks up. I did turn off my Anti-Virus and Firewall software prior to running the patch. Any ideas on what to try next?
