The critical thing is to be able to do substantially more than 200 hit points of damage every turn. How you do that is up to you. A magic-heavy party can kill the dragon quite easily at level 40-45 or thereabouts, but I always do it in turn-based mode. I suppose it's doable in real-time, but the need to switch spells between Poison Cloud, Paralyze, and Divine Intervention makes it clumsy. The dragon tends to carve large lumps out of your party while you're calling up the different spells. |
