...cudgel and bow. If you haven't got the skills already, you need to visit the Library, just west of the Jarl's Palace in Sturmford. It would also help if you saved your game before you talked to the lady inside. That way, if she hasn't got what you want, you can reload your savegame and try again.  However, if you intend to make a mage or a lich out of your initiates, don't put too many skill points into bow. Both do better with thrown weapons (they get that skill later), and the lich in particular gets quite good at it.
