All except one of my characters have been promoted, and I thought I'd make a ranger of the last one. After thinking it over I figured it'd be better for the team if the last one was a paladin instead. So, I got the quest to warn the jarl but - oops! I've already played the main plot so far, that the jarl isn't there anymore! I've actually already lost my army and been to the dark passage... I though I'd promote them before doing the Arslegard thing.

What should/can I do now? Do I have to promote the last guy ranger?

I already have a lich, a priest and an assassin... Should've thought about this earlier. >
