... then your party has to include a priest and a lich, because those quests can only be done if you actually promote a character to that rank. Two good final parties to aim at are: assassin, gladiator, priest, lich (start with two fighters and two initiates and go to two mercenaries, a healer, and a scholar) or the pure magic party of mage, lich, priest and druid (4 initiates, going to 2 healers and 2 scholars). The pure magic party needs some care initially, but becomes a killing machine later in the game, with some massively damaging spells. It is actually surprisingly good at physical combat, as well. The priest can use the best bow in the game, the lich can master Thrown Weapons, and the druid, with GM in both Unarmed and Dodge, is a very bonny melée fighter.
