The game is unable to find the disk, a particular file on the disk or the copy protection ID. If you've installed the game on the same system before from a different optical drive then you might have an old registry entry that's at fault. Let us know if that might be the case. Some newer optical drives have a hard time with older CDs -- especially DVD/CD drives. Make sure you have the latest firmware and DirectX 9.0c, but it might be that the only solution is to run the game from an older drive.
