Original Message:   MM6 DirectX Issue
Sorry for the post on this forum but I cannot find an active MM6 forum!

I installed the Might & Magic Millenium edition on my Windows 98 SE PC.

Before I did this, I upgraded to DirectX 8.1 which, to the best of my knowledge, is the most recent version for Windows 98.

When I install the game, I get a message that the DirextX 6.0 check failed (even though I have DirectX 8.1).

Sure enough, when I try to run MM6, I get an hourglass and the keyboard locks up which sounds like the DirectX problem that I have seen reported on some forums. Do I need DirextX 6.0 specifically? Any ideas?
