In the middle of a cut screen (I think I was traveling from Guberland to Drangheim), my mail alert popped up, momentarily interrupting the process (but didn't CTD). When I went back into MM9, it finished the transition, but all character/NPC portraits were gone (they'd become translucent shaded areas: frames, but no pictures). I wasn't that concerned, because everything else seemed to work normally, so like an idiot, I played on. Unfortunately, I've found that I can't use Heal on my characters/NPC's now (it apparently needs the portraits to finish the cast). Anybody got an idea how to get the portraits back without backing up in the game to the last place I still had them?
