We recently build our own system and loaded MM9 into it with all the patches. But we keep getting corrupted graphics in the form of grey doors, night sky instead of a ceiling, bright green landscapes, and on the floorboards there are control icons everywhere. We have tried just about everything we can think of from slowing down the graphics card to removing all checks from the video options. Nothing works. We are at wits end, if you have a clue, it would help.
