so they implemented a real situation. If you are dump enough to screw it up, then you lose the gold and XP. That is real life I like such quests because you have more then 1 outcome, and if you play the tick head of a fighter you might end up like this, loose the quest. I hope MMT will have such quests as well. BTW the first promotion for the scholar is the same. However in both cases you get a reward, even if not equal.
