If you've installed the game more than once then you might have bad info in your Registry. This could happen if you have two optical drives and used each at least once. It could also happen if you changed your drive letter assignment. If this is possible then we'll need to explore your Registry.

The other (and more likely) possibility is that your optical drive's firmware (like the BIOS is to your motherboard) might need to be updated. Open your case and find out the make and model number. Look on the drive for the firmware version number. Go to the manufacture's site and see if there is an update. Or you could install a different/newer CD drive.
