Then go to the east side and look for a door. That should bring up the screen, "do you wish to go to the arena?". If it does, you have the right door, if it just asks if you want to leave town, you haven't found it yet, so say no and keep looking. (And FYI, what you have found is called the "Thing" (Not to be confused with the "Gathering" in Guberland). You will have to return there later for something, so don't forget where it is.)
