that is due to the algorithm used to compute the merchand skill. At GM it's simple you get the items for the real price. With the other levels you get a discount on each items. The problem is that there is no cap, so you can end up with a bonus of 150% on items, which means you get 50% of the cash back. So with very high level Merchand the trainer ends up giving you money for training |
