I don't know if matters, but what is your name of the play-disk? Mine is "MM9_DISK2".

In the registry, there's a reference to the drive in HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NEW WORLD COMPUTING\MIGHT and MAGIC IX\1.0\CDDrive
