I am still holding back on changing my PC but I am under some (increasing) pressure from "The boss at home"...Mrs Bear...
She has now learnt enough about PCs from her educated dam sister to know mine (like me) is getting old.
Sister has the latest state of the art wiz bang zip woo..ultra fast.. looks nice and sleak.. and also is tidy... no rats nest of cables... You Get the picture.... But sister does not play M and M..or games...."Children have play station for that..if you ask them they will help you play!!" she says.. My PC ....has Window 98..a pentium 2 @ 500 M....Matrox Milinium 3D card with 128M Ram... AND ALL M AND M GAMES RUN FINE:::THANK YOU...as does Civ 3 and a few other classic games I occasionaly play. I have read 1001 threads in these taverns and about 70% seem to be associated with problems of getting MM6/7/8 and 9 to run on anything other than Windows 98. Is there no other operating sytems that I can buy that will run M and M? We have a PC store here where they will hand craft a PC to customer spec including operating system that is.."Käyttöjärjestelmä" in Finnish. What do I ask for? For those who would like to play and learn some Finnish..design your own PC using the link below. The Drop downs give the spec/options in English... e.g. Muisti drop down gives you list "memory options"..plus another Finnish word you have learnt. Could be useful in your job application to Nokia.
