Oh my, I think now I know where is the problem – on the MM9 box I just read that „Company Buka doesn’t guarantee that the game will work on CD-R, CD-RW and DVD-ROM". I have CD-RW so maybe that’s the whole problem.  It would explain why this game did work on my older computer which had only CD-ROM...The game didn't work.Anyway, here are the results: MM9.exe file version is 1.0., but file modification is dated 29.03.2002. Also I see that in the MM9 directory there is created a new text document called "Version" which tells that I have 0.024 version. I did exactly everything you suggested and now the mm9dir.txt file shows the following: --------------------------------------------------------------- Volume in drive C has no label.
