Right-click SCRIPTS.REZ and choose Properties. It should be 2,230,912 bytes. But... If the scripts were updated, you heard the ding and Snorri gave you his reward, then you got the key and you should have gotten the attribute reward. If not then there is something going on in the engine that can't be helped. OTOH, if SCRIPTS.REZ wasn't updated then I think I understand how you might have missed the attribute reward.
