That is generally a memory problem where the video is too large for your video card memory. Or, your video driver may not be the best one to run MM9 which may be why your sound effects aren't working. What I'll do if you send it to me is watch the video, get the Bikki quest and send it back. If the video will not run, you won't have success with a restarted game. It'll freeze again when you get here.
