Recently, Electronic Arts bought 20% of UbiSoft. If this is the first step of a take-over, then it is not likely that a new series will be (re-)started by them. Rather, existing titels may be discontinued.

Note further that so far UbiSoft have no development team for Might and Magic, and have fallen completely silent about HoMM V.
