| Three reasons: 1. The top level Mage combat spell (Eye of the Storm) is weak compared to the top Lich combat spell (Souldrinker), 2. The Lich can achieve Mastery in Thrown Weapons whereas the Mage is limited to Expert, and 3. You can complete the Mage promo quest and get the XP for it when you're playing a Lich, but you cannot complete the Lich promo quest when you're playing a Mage. |
