You really can't uninstall DirectX. There are some utilities available that will attempt it, but their reviews are mixed. I think that DX9.0c is the most recent version. You might want to try that. If that doesn't work, then.... The 3DO logo is a Bink movie. It might be that your system needs a newer version of BINKW32.DLL and SMACKW32.DLL. Search your own folders first before looking to the web. These two files aren't being developed any more. Also, DX9 might not have initialized properly. Run DXDIAG.EXE, go to the Display tab, disable and then re-enable the 'DirectX Features'. If you do all these things and have a pure heart then evryting will work properly ... maybe.
