first check to see how ram your system can handle. i have heard conflicting reports of Win 98SE and Win ME ability to handle more than 256 megs of ram. so if you add more ram and things don't seem to improve, do some research on the web about ram and those two OS. if your system has more 512 ram and you have the two above OS, you will need to make changes to Vcache. mine is: [vcache] ;Rem TShoot: MinFileCache=0 MinFileCache=16384 MaxFileCache=32768 CHUNKSIZE=512 MaxFileCache, for more 512 megs of ram, shouldn't be more than 524288. also the Vcache seting can interfer/affect the graphic card. windows can use so much resources, there might not be enough to run powerful graphic cards.
